My Story

I have dreamed of becoming an artist since I was five years old. I remember doing artwork in kindergarten and loving the class and process. Our county fair always selected children's artwork for displays and prizes. Every year I hoped that one of my pieces might be selected. But it never happened. I remember thinking, “Well, I guess I'm not good enough to be picked for the fair.” It took me another 25 to 30 years to really start exploring art again. On my first attempt, I took a watercolor course. I remember the first watercolor painting I created. I thought, "Yes, this is good!” My instructor was a great mentor, and she inspired a love of watercolors in me. Later, I went back to college to finish my Associate Degree and took another art class. I absolutely loved it. It opened my eyes to what might be possible for me as an artist and my art. My professor was another of my early mentors who inspired me to keep pursuing my artwork. I am forever grateful to these mentors for their support and encouragement! I also have many friends and family who have encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Many have purchased paintings from my collection, and I'm so grateful for their love and support. I dream of one day opening my own studio where people may come visit me and I can share my love of art with them.
